It would only be right to come into the New Year with a fantastic glass of fizz. Here at Carters we are a big fan of Nyetimber, it really is the very "Best of British.”

For over twenty five years a small estate in West Sussex has had a single dream: to make the finest English sparkling wine, one to rival the very best in the world, including Champagne, and judging by all the rave reviews, it's working.

The South of England is perfect for the production of sparkling wine. The chalky soil and mild climate (which allows for slow ripening of the grapes) mirrors that of the Champagne region. This means optimum acidity is achieved along with a more complex finish.

Each bottle of Nyetimber is made from 100% estate-grown grapes. All the grapes are tasted before harvest to guarantee the best flavour development before picking. In the words of Nyetimber themselves:

”And if they aren’t up to standard? We simply won’t use them.”

We have Classic Cuvee, Rosé and Demi-Sec waiting on ice (by the glass or by the bottle) so treat yourself, you deserve it!
