Martin & Anna Arndorfer
16 August 2016
Over the holiday we had the fantastic opportunity to visit some of our suppliers & we'll be telling you a little bit about them over the coming months.
First up is Martin & Anna Arndorfer, an amazing couple who both respectively come from a long line of Austrian winemakers... let's just say wine is in their DNA. Their passion & respect for their region, fruit & wine is inspiring with a process for making wine that uses a sensitive approach to showcase not only a wines character, but it's personality and history as well.
Their vineyards spread over the Kemptal Valley & Strassertal Valley & include some of the regions oldest and dynamic vines, still planted in the 'old way'. The area is diverse, offering different variations of the loess, clay and primary rock soils found all over the Wagram region.
The Arndorfer style of wine rests firmly on the affirmation that natural winemaking is not just a popular trend with hipsters & wine geeks but a true representation of how wines should be, a way of life & a social movement. When you're in next be sure to ask about their Handcrafted Grüner Veltliner.
