The kids have gone back to school and the weather is turning. The drizzle is oh-so-real but it's a good thing because the fields are soaking up those revitalising droplets and in return we are rewarded with magnificent produce: corn on the cob, bilberries, truffles, courgettes and a boost to the summer's crop of tomatoes.

A current firm favourite here at the Carters HQ is the hearty Porthilly Rock oyster. These mighty molluscs are farmed in the Camel Estuary in Cornwall and have a whopping meat to shell ratio of 9/10!

They're fresh, clean, creamy and Chef's preparing them with a very special ingredient; it's his historic dedication to the Victorian era, when oysters were once the poor man's food. Come and get 'em whilst you can...
