The Turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) is a species of flatfish in the family Scophthalmidae. It is a demersal fish native to marine or brackish waters of the North Atlantic, Baltic Sea & the Mediterranean Sea.

These fish swim into shallower waters as the weather warms up & are at their peak in British waters right now. Turbot are a highly-prized table fish with firm flesh & a delicate flavour, known by many as The King of the Sea.

Hopefully on the menu for a couple more weeks, this spectacular fish, served with Lichfield asparagus & curry butter, is going down a storm. Come check it out whilst you can!
